Nate Demers is the owner of WEATHERWIZE, a professional log home company dedicated to the craftsmanship and preservation of log homes. He volunteers for Great Lakes Log Crafters Association, David Rogers Heritage Committee and International Mass Timber Alliance as a Board Member.

He is also the President of the International Log Builders Association (ILBA), where he champions the interests and standards of the log home building community. Nate resides in the Upper Peninsula, a region that reflects his deep connection to nature and traditional construction methods. Nate's passion for the trades began at an early age. In the beginning Nate worked in excavation, trail building, framing, plumbing and agriculture before settling on Log Construction.

These early endeavors sparked a lifelong dedication to the art and science of log home construction. His company, WEATHERWIZE, which has become a reputable name in the log home industry over a period of two decades, is known for its expertise in both new builds, maintenance and restoration of existing log structures. Nate’s main focus is building renewal and structure durability. Under his leadership, WEATHERWIZE has grown to offer a range of services tailored to the unique needs of log homeowners.

Nate’s commitment to quality and innovation is evident in every project his company undertakes, ensuring that each log home is built or restored to the highest standards. As President of the ILBA, Nate works tirelessly to promote best practices and support the community of log home builders worldwide. His leadership within the association is marked by a focus on education, sustainability, and the preservation of the log home building tradition.
